Vintage videogame graphics (from the old Amiga game Another World, for those who don’t remember the early ’90s) meet futuristic beatscapes in this video from mysterious Toronto-via-Barcelona producer Braqueberry. In the words of the video’s director Aleix Pitarch, the video imagines a world where “having a Commodore Amiga is like having a Lamborghini or a Ferrari: Groupies appear around you by spontaneous generation.” Indeed, the video has a carefully crafted air of sexual malevolence, with pixelated images of bikini babes juxtaposed with more sinister and abstract imagery, which perfectly compliments the dystopian beats on “Blaque Won.” Braqueberry’s Wemen EP (out now through Brilliantine) is streaming in full on SoundCloud, complete with excellent remixes from Ghosts on Tape and MikeQ & Divoli S’vereāthe latter of which gave XLR8R an alternate version of their rework, here.
