It’s an almost knee-jerk response for any site to stop everything and bask in whatever piece of footage or audio The Knife drops ahead of Shaking the Habitual‘s April 9 release date via Mute. XLR8R recently speculated on the best and worst aspects of The Knife’s new record, and with the release of the visual treatment for second single and album opener “A Tooth for an Eye,” there’s a new bit of material to obsess over. Directed by Kakan Hermansson and Roxy Farhat, the video for “A Tooth for an Eye” “deconstructs images of maleness, power and leadership. A child enters and allows the men to let go of their hierarchies, machismo, and fear of intimacy as they follow her into a dance.” For those who missed it before, the artwork and tracklist for the forthcoming triple-LP are below.
