After announcing the imminent release of its third LP, The Feast of the Broken Heart, back in March, Andy Butler’s Hercules & Love Affair collective has shared a new video for album cut “I Try to Talk to You.” Accompanying the piano-led track (which features vocalist John Gran) is a series of black-and-white images that capture an impassioned dance performance symbolizing a conflict in a relationship. The clip’s back-and-forth movements mirror the push-and-pull of Grant’s lyrics, which describe a frustrating lack of communication between lovers as Hercules & Love Affiar’s disco-striped track steadily rolls along.
Directed by David Wilson, the video for “I Try to Talk to You” can be watched in full below before The Feast of the Broken Heart drops on May 26 via Moshi Moshi.
