It has been quite a busy year for the prolific DJ/producer known as Machinedrum, and that activity recently culminated in the release of his solid and expansive Vapor City LP for Ninja Tune. With the album under his belt, the artist born Travis Stewart announced that he would launch a brand-new live A/V performance and take it around the world throughout the remainder of 2013. The North American leg of that extensive tour is set to kick off just over a week from today, and so Machinedrum has decided to share a video to give all of his stateside fans a preview of what to expect. Appropriately called Vapor City Live, the performance features Stewart leading a live drummer through renditions of the lush and bass-heavy tracks from his new LP—complete with Weirdcore‘s bespoke visuals moving, morphing, and flashing over the players. The video below—filmed by Niall Webster at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh—shows just as much while the lovely “Center Your Love” tune plays in the background; the list of Machinedrum’s remaining tour dates can be found here.
