East Coast synth wizard Com Truise (a.k.a. Seth Haley) has followed up his recently released Wave 1 EP for Ghostly with an appropriately galactic video for his equally spacey “Subsonic” single. Premiered over on THUMP, the Hans Lo-directed piece begins with a distorted assortment of scrolling numbers and text interjected with warped black-and-white footage of a moving mouth. The film is then superimposed with a string of metaphysical statements that set the tone for its conclusion. What remains of Com Truise’s video is less a voyage into space itself, and more of a passage into cyberspace, as the screen flickers with a green grid overlaid by spiraling shapes and patterns from Wave 1‘s artwork.
