Here’s another piece of pristine footage matched with one of DaVinci‘s conscious hip-hop tunes. Shot and directed by Marcus Ubungen, the video for “Concrete Jungle Juice,” from his recent The Day the Turf Stood Still debut, is as smoothly hyped and tastefully flashy as the track itself. A series of various close-ups of DaVinci delivering his raspy flow are intertwined with quick shots of blunt smoking, jungle-juice mixing, and simply animated verbiage. It’s got a slight bit of a stripped-down Tarantino vibe to it, and Ubungen’s wonderful-looking footage and well-balanced editing allow Ammbush’s nod-worthy production to be the primary focus, as it should be.
