Next week, XLR8R will be heading down to Los Angeles to host a secret, invite-only show with Sonos, featuring live performances from Teengirl Fantasy (pictured above) and Teebs. Although we can’t announce all the details, we can say that the show will be happening next Thursday, March 28 and that we will be giving away a limited number of tickets right here on XLR8R in the days ahead.

Teengirl Fantasy has been appearing regularly on XLR8R for a while a now, and the Brooklyn duo’s live show has come a long way in that time, particularly following the release of last year’s Tracer LP on R&S. With a small fleet of gear at their disposal, members Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss are now capable of conjuring a maelstrom of R&B- and house-informed grooves, so watching the boys do their thing in a small, intimate venue should be thrilling.

Also exciting is the inclusion of Teebs. The LA beatmaker is a core member of Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder crew, and his uniquely hazy, textured productions have catapulted him to the top tier of the so-called beat scene.

Our editor Shawn Reynaldo will round out the affair, as he’ll be spinning DJ sets between the live acts. Bud Light Platinum will also be gracing the proceedings with free drinks throughout the evening.
