While Glaswegian producer Sad City doesn’t have a lot of material under his belt yet, he certainly makes the work he does craft count. This expansive and ethereal remix of “A Walk Home” by mellow rocker The Morning Clouds (pictured above) stretches the track to over 10 minutes in length, removing the straight-ahead indie aspects of the original and transforming the not-quite-shoegaze song into a bona fide celestial dreamscape. Airy vocals haunt the last half of the piece, the hi-hats melting into blissful static, with only subtle snaps and a soft kick drum keeping the track from slipping completely into ambient noise.
