Dutch producer Fedbymachines has shared ”Abyss,” the hazy title track from his forthcoming EP of the same name. Here, dubstep-ghosted vocals merge with the strange, synthetic chatter of invented species, while thick, moody atmospheres smudge out skeletal percussive architecture. The five-track EP, which samples ambient textures and future garage, is Fedbymachines’ first solo release since appearing on Warminal and Broken Bubble in 2011, and another new record is expected later in the year. The full version of Abyss will only be available to subscribers to the Cut music platform when it officially lands in early June.
