Djrum is the alias of the difficult to pin down DJ/producer Felix Manuel, who draws his sound from influences as diverse as DJ Shadow, jungle, and minimal techno. Today, we’re offering an exclusive free download of the instrumental version of his track “Anchors,” which in its original incarnation features sultry vocals from NYC artist ShadowBox. Thankfully, the song is equally as powerful when stripped down to its dusty, slow-burning instrumental elements. Djrum’s debut album Seven Lies is out via 2nd Drop as of this week.
