Based in Bristol, DJ-producer Aphix incorporates a variety of U.K.-grown sounds into his expanding palate. With its spacious compositions and square wave bass, his Ruby Grooves debut EP fits comfortably amongst releases by new school grime aficionados Visionist and Mumdance, among others. His most recent offering, a weighty three-tracker entitled Chemtrails, takes a step back from the driving rhythms to craft experimental club cuts that would mix well with tracks from Night Slugs or Her Records.

Aphix has provided XLR8R with a download of his EP title track. Released once again on left-field club label Infinite Machine, the track sees his budding production chops expanding with a more exploratory attitude.
