Kerri Chandler‘s family of “Mad” imprints can be hard to follow at times, escpeically with the feverish output the group of labels have displayed over the past few months. Fortunately, Chandler and company have consistently made efforts to keep us all in the loop by offering up quality tunes for free download, and this so-called “Basement Dub” from fast-rising UK producer and recent Bubblin’ Up artist Leon Vynehall is the lastest of those offerings. On his remix, Brighton-based Vynehall reshapes the title track from the Blame It on the Youth EP by fellow UK outfit Voyeur (pictured above) into a dustier—but no less deep—exursion, the results of which are driven by chorded stabs and a shuffling beat while Vynehall indulges just a bit in his love for Midwestern house and techno.
