With the release of his Chronic EP just a few weeks away, UK producer Hervé (a.k.a. Joshua Harvey, who also produces as half of The Count & Sinden, among other monikers) has opted to share a track from the forthcoming effort. Harvey enlisted the help of recent Cheap Thrills signee SPX to remix his record’s title track, the alternate version of which is a hard-hitting tune that lures the original production into decidedly late-night territory. SPX has also eschewed some of the pulsating synths and intricate rhythms of “Chronic” to give his production an added sense of depth, a sound which lends itself well to the remix’s unabashedly funky style.
