On the forthcoming Fernweh EP, Irish producer Effy is said to be found transitioning from more bass-focused club tracks to a darker techno sound. If “Lumin” is any indication, Effy may be even more at home when crafting pummeling techno fare. One of four tracks included on Fernweh, “Lumin” is a charging affair directly out of the gate, placing chugging machine tones underneath a pumping four-on-the-floor and an array of reverb-washed chord stabs. “Lumin” can be grabbed below, where Effy’s forthcoming Fernweh EP—which includes a remix from Manni Dee and is set to on March 30 via London’s No Logo label—can also be previewed.
