With this week’s release of London-based producer Crewdson‘s Gravity Remixes EP via Slowfoot, there will be no less than three incarnations of his mellow, glitchy tune “Electric Wing” floating about. Fellow UK tunesmith Real sets himself apart from the bunch with a bassy and rimshot-heavy version of the song that still retains the slippery and surging feeling given by Crewdson’s original horn solo. Real gives special attention to the horn on his remix, scaling back the percussion for a moment in order to put the focus on its winding notes and carving out atmospheric terrain reminiscent of Sepalcure for Crewdson’s sounds to vibe in.
