Canadian-based label King Deluxe is offering a free compilation via its beautifully rendered and sometimes animated website as a way of celebrating its second birthday. Included in the 19-track package is a dramatic offering from the young Russian producer Aleph, who has so far released two EPs through King Deluxe and has an LP coming this January. (We recently posted an edit of a tune from his new record for Lowriders Collective, too.) Beginning with heavily cut up and reverb-drenched choir vocals, “Messa (A-Moll)” leads itself into warm, muted samples of acoustic drums and brightly shining synths. The epic track could be something from a video game, which is fitting considering King Deluxe’s aesthetic choices (you can get an idea of what we mean here and here). The label’s massive freebie also includes longstanding contributors such as Alphabets Heaven and Fancy Mike, and can be downloaded for free, here. If that’s not enough King Deluxe action for you, be sure to watch the compilation’s cinematic trailer after the jump.
