The elusive Druid Cloak has been a steady source of original material—such as “Blessing Grove” from his The Grove EP for Symbols—and solid, uptempo remixes for the past few months. He’ll continue that trend next month by joining forces with the Infinite Machine label to release another EP of three original tunes and remixes, including “Night Touch.” The production has the mixed sound pallette of a whimsical, fantasy video game and halftime hip-hop vibes. Though it may seem like an unlikely combination, stabs of synthetic voices melt seamlessly into an off-kilter arpeggio, all of which is enhanced by a slow-moving bassline. You can preview the rest of Druid Cloak’s Athene’s Hollow EP before its release on March 18, after the jump.
