Hailing from Portland, Oregon, SPF666 is set to drop his debut EP next month via the newly minted Club Chemtrail label, an imprint the budding producer co-runs alongside fellow Northwest talent Commune. Pulled from the upcoming Scorpion Cache EP is Commune’s remix of the effort’s title track, which focuses on tough club sonics as it weaves through a series of space-age FX and ghostly bell melodies. With its efforts aimed squarely on the dancefloor, Commune’s rework comes loaded on the bottom end, with its heavy kicks joined by layers of intricate percussion and a relentless procession of thickly rendered snares. SPF666’s Scorpion Cache EP officially drops on May 15, but before then, a preview stream of the seven-track affair can be heard after the jump.
