Fast-growing NYC label Safer at Night has tapped Copenhagen-based artist Unkwon to deliver the next release in its catalog. Falling in line with much of the imprint’s after hours-focused sound, Unkwon’s Wolves EP will offer three immersive tracks lined with cinematic pads, haunted melodies, and a healthy dose of sub-bass. On offer here is the dub version of EP cut “If We Could Just,” which removes the sticky vocal hooks of the original track and instead places the focus on the production’s eerie atmosphere and understated melodic twists and turns. The dub version of Unkwon’s “If We Could Just” track can be grabbed below, where the artwork and tracklist for his upcoming Wolves EP can also be peeped before the record officially lands on January 13.
