With nearly two decades of DJing and producing under his belt, LD Nero—a relatively new alias for German techno veteran Alex Cortex—has assuredly felt his share of cold, dripping warehouse dew and rave rain. On his latest effort, a three-tracker titled Warehouse Dew (artwork above), LD Nero channels the heyday of underground raves by crafting old-school vibes that straddle the line between techno and house. “Pt. 3” of the EP is the cut most likely to get sweat puddling on the walls and ceiling, as its forward-moving groove stomps along behind Detroit-style chords and shuffling hi-hats. European record hub Pomelo will be releasing Warehouse Dew digitally on April 23, with a wax release to follow on May 7. Until then, satiate your need for tech-house jams by listening to LD Nero’s recent podcast for Pomelo, which you can stream and download after the jump.
