Just last week, we caught wind of a new 12″ from Berlin-based producer and XLR8R podcast contributor A Made Up Sound (a.k.a. Dave Huismans, 2562) forthcoming as part of the Clone Basement Series. Now, only a half-dozen days later, we’ve been tipped off to yet another AMUS release, this time from Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons imprint. The Malfunctions EP features two oddball, funk-fueled techno efforts, “Malfunction (Adjust)” on the a-side and “Malfunction (Despair)” on the flip. The quirky, undeniably original tracks are set for a July 6 release.
