ORG Music has reissued pioneering free jazz group Art Ensemble of Chicago’s rare and sought after Tutankhamun LP.

The 1969 album originally surfaced on the Freedom label and features performances by Lester Bowie, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, and Malachi Favors Maghostut. It’s been out of print for over three decades.

This new version from ORG Music has been remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany. As a bonus, the reissue features “Tthinitthedalen” Part 1 and 2, closing out sides A and B respectively.

In conjunction with Record Store Day in April, ORG Music will also offer a limited edition vinyl pressing of Art Ensemble of Chicago’s early ’70s LP The Spiritual
