The AT-LP60-BT will provide vinyl playback through compatible Bluetooth wireless speaker systems, headphones, A/V receivers or other wireless playback devices, thus allowing the record player to remain in one room, and the music enjoyed elsewhere. Anyone visiting this year’s CES Show in Las Vegas (which runs January 6-9) can check out the new technology at the Audio-Technica booth, though it will be given a proper release later this month.

The news comes following a week in which Panasonic announced the relaunch of the classic SL-1200, as well as Sony’s latest effort, the PS-HX500. Elsewhere, The Vinyl Factory reported that British retailer HMV sold one turntable a minute in the week leading up to Christmas, a reflection of the current wide-scale vinyl resurgence.
