Unusual and enigmatic to be sure, Hype Williams skirts direct categorization at every turn of its brief-but-interesting music career, and this brand-new mix the duo just completed for FACT is certainly no different. The outfit’s FACT Mix 216 features no less than four Steely Dan songs, some spoken word pieces from Lenny Bruce and Chris Morris, Burzum, The Fall, a bit of UK grime from Ruff Sqwad and So Solid Crew, a couple of unreleased Hype Williams numbers, and many other enjoyable oddities.
