While Seattle’s fast-approaching Decibel festival is mostly about amazing performances from many XLR8R favorites, the event also features an educational aspect, with workshops, round-table discussions, and panel talks. While the festival rages all night, the daylight hours bring Mad Professor and others talking about dub music’s influence on electronic production, Speaking in Code director Amy Grill in conversation with the Wighnomy Bros., and good old Chris Willits giving a talk on sound design and processing.

The Decibel Festival and dB Conference start this Thursday. For more information on the conference, visit the conference website. For the complete musical line-up at Decibel, visit the Decibel site.
