The Mexican counterpart to Montreal’s annual MUTEK festival, MUTEK.MX has announced a lineup of 35 artists to play its ninth season next month. Between October 3 and 7, festival goers can see a multitude of local Mexican producers—Kupa, Lao, Metrika, La Royale & Yesco, and Rebolledo performing as part of Pachanga Boys with Superpitcher, among others—as well as notable artists from around the world, such as DJ Harvey (pictured above), Andrew Weatherall, Scuba, Egyptrixx, Tim Hecker, Demdike Stare, Holy Other, and Laurel Halo. This year, the festival will take place across multiple venues in Mexico City, and feature a number of films, including the premiere of FREEDOM, a documentary on the first nine years of MUTEK.MX.
