Following the release of his Projector EP earlier this month, Daniel Avery has enlisted revered London producer Four Tet (a.k.a Kieran Hebden) for a remix of “Quick Eternity,” taken from the former’s Song For Alpha LP.
A limited number of remix 12”s will be exclusively available at London’s Field Day festival in Brockwell Park this weekend, where both artists will perform, ahead of a full release later this summer.
Hebden flips the warm, undulating synths and crystalline percussion of Avery’s original in his own inimitable style, building shimmering, skittering flourishes before a pneumatic final half. A release date and audio will be revealed in due course, and the remix will be backed by a club edit of the same track.
Song For Alpha, out now on Phantasy worldwide and Phantasy/Mute in the US & Canada, is Avery’s exploration of the space in which home listening and club music intersect.
