Seemingly tireless San Francisco-based producer Matrixxman (whose “Soul M8” tune we today highlighted as one of the 50 best tracks of 2014 and is pictured above) is set to squeeze in one more remix before the year is through, with his take on Jack Fell Down‘s “Overrated” production set to appear on the UK pair’s forthcoming EP for Let’s Play House. While the original version of “Overrated” appears only as a digital bonus track to the duo’s Epiphany EP, Matrixxman’s seven-minute rework has made the vinyl cut, with its elongated run spreading steely atmospheres and slowly evolving FX atop a deep, harrowing rhythmic base rife with mechanical tones.
