Hyperdub will release Lee Gamble’s Flush Real Pharynx LP next year. The album will be released in three parts, and today the label has detailed In A Paraventral Scale, part one, scheduled for February 1 release. The other two parts will come out later in 2019 and will be complemented by a new audio-visual live show.

In a Paraventral Scale follows Gamble’s Mnestic Pressure, also released on Hyperdub. We’re told that it zooms in on the seductive/destructive nature of present-day reality through a symbolic prism inhabited by snakes, vehicles, and mirages. Gamble “exposes us to a new type of digital theatre, a unique and futuristic filmic world blurring the distinction between non-musical sound, music, and dancefloor, a push and pull between reality and fictional worlds.”

Flush Real Pharynx is a sonic documentary, and loosely explores three stages of the “Semioblitz,” the aggressive onslaught of visual and sonic stimuli of contemporary cities and virtual spaces.
