Without much warning, Brooklyn transplant Jubilee (who delivered an XLR8Rpodcast back in 2010) has released a new 12″ today via Dre Skull’s Mixpak imprint. Named after New York’s JMZ subway line, the formerly Miami-based producer/DJ’s new JMZ Riddim EP can now be heard in full.

Leading off the three-track effort in its original form is “JMZ Riddim,” a production which draws on the dancehall and reggaeton heritage of Brooklyn, while lacing its familiar rhythmic bounce with sparse melodies, cold FX, and occasional spurts of rolling snares. Accompanying Jubilee’s original are two remixes from an outfit known as Thundridge Echo. Out today, the JMZ Riddim EP can be streamed below in its entirety.
