Though we haven’t heard much from Laurel Halo since the release of her “Sunlight on the Faded” single, the Brooklyn-based artist has just offered up an unlikely remix of “Living With You” by John Cale (pictured above). Steering far from the original’s rock-leaning composition—which is built upon Cale’s trademark “viola drone”—Laurel Halo reworks “Living With You” into a dreary, off-kilter piece that retains little to none of the original’s elements. Both versions, along with an “Organic Mix” by Cale himself, were officially released today as the single for the track that originally appeared on last year’s Shifty Adventures in Nookie Wood LP.
