Metroplex Launches Reissue Campaign
Juan Atkins has shared details of several represses, which will begin to filter into stores from April.
Metroplex, launched in 1985 by Atkins, is one of the original techno labels to come out of Detroit. This year, its boss is coordinating a reissue campaign, beginning with a host of his Model 500 alias EPs—Night Drive (Thru-Babylon), Sound Of Stereo / Off To Battle and The Chase.
Atkins also revealed that the campaign will not stop there, but include material from his Infiniti alias, as well as the highly sought-afterSpectral Nomad EP by The Vision (a.k.a. Robert Hood). On top of this, Green Velvet and Luciano will jump on board for a remix package of the label’s first single, “No UFO’s.”
Stay tuned into the Metroplex site for more information soon.
