Back in 2012, French producer Para One released Passion, an ambitious LP which we hailed as a rewarding collection of gallant dance music hybrids. Now, the former Institubes mainstay plans to return to the Marble label (which he co-runs alongside Surkin and Bobmo) with the Club LP, a new collection of productions which are in fact reinterpretations of Passion‘s efforts. “The Passion album is the background for Club,” Para One explains in a press release. “I decided to reshape it for my live act, and rebuilt the tracks entirely, making live versions for festivals and bigger clubs, then I found myself with a totally different album,” he further tells. Spanning 11 tracks, the forthcoming LP is said to be short on subtlety, as the tracks have been designed to “hit kind of hard.” As Para One puts it, “The tracks had to sound real in a club situation and people are now meant to dance to them!”

The Club LP is set to drop on June 16 in Europe via Marble/Because, with a release in the US set for July 15 via the Big Beat label. In the meantime, a streaming teaser for Para One’s upcoming album can be heard below, where the record’s full tracklist is also included.
