PBDY (pronounced “Peabody”) has released Eucalyptus & Lavender / So Help Me (DOG), a new single, out now via Brainfeeder, ahead of his 34-date tour across North America with Flying Lotus.

The track features Jeff Parker (of pioneering post-rock outfit Tortoise) on guitar, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson on viola, and Justin Brown (Thundercat, Ambrose Akinmusire) on drums. It’s the first taste of PBDY’s debut album, scheduled to land later this year on Brainfeeder.

PBDY has been the resident DJ at the heart of the Brainfeeder family for nearly eight years, hosting radio shows, building DJ mixes, rocking label showcases, in-stores, and after-parties. He established his label, TAR, in 2013, creating a platform to share his favourite experimental sounds sourced from lesser-known acts as far afield as Asia, Australia, and Russia.

2018 saw PBDY make his solo debut on Brainfeeder, contributing the eerily beautiful “Bring Me Down” (featuring vocals by his friend and label-mate Salami Rose Joe Louis) to the label’s 10th anniversary compilation, Brainfeeder X.

Beginning this week, PBDY is heading out on a run of 34 shows across North America, opening up for Flying Lotus and his Flamagra tour.
