Back at the end of last year, XLR8R debuted a track by mysterious act COLOM81AN, who were pushing what they referred to as NuMood, a dreamy and hypnotic style of beat-driven music that they pair with poignant visuals chopped from well-known films. This combination proved to resonate with our readers, landing COLOM81AN in the Top Downloads of September and also the year-end round up for 2016.

For their latest outing, COLOM81AN turn their hand to Sade’s classic “No Ordinary Love,” transforming it into a woozy, romantic slow burner complete with fitting visuals from Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. The track, which also features the crooning vocals of regular collaborator Synthia, once again shows COLOM81AN’s deft hand at crafting warm, beat-driven cuts.
