Yousef has been one of the leading figures in underground house music for well over a decade now and after releasing on labels such as Cocoon, Saved, and Renaissance, he will join Ellen Alien’s BPitch Control for his latest EP, To Be Remembered. The EP finds Yousef in fine form, using his lengthy experience as a DJ to craft three masterful, dance floor focused pieces. “The Courtship” and “5 Weeks” open proceedings and are both darker tinged, slow burners, giving us a taste of Yousef’s range. Title track, “To Be Remembered” is a swinging, jazz inflicted number; complete with a deep, sub bass groove and rolling percussion.
