Late last year, ├ôlafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen came together to release a full-length LP as Kiasmos via the Erased Tapes imprint. A self-titled affair, the pair will soon revisit its recent album for a Record Store Day 12″ that will focus on LP cut “Looped” as well as two reworks, including one from Kompakt/Ghostly affiliate Dauwd (pictured above).

“The parts had so much texture and warmth that working with them in my own space was quite inspiring,” Dauwd says of the original “Held” in a press release. “I tried to respond impulsively to the parts and allow anything to happen.” The resulting remix sees the UK talent refitting Kiasmos’ production into a more club-minded framework while still retaining the restrained atmosphere and rich tones of the original. Dauwd’s remix of Kiasmos can be streamed in full below before it lands as part of the Looped 12″ on Record Store Day, April 18. (It should also be noted that Dauwd’s Jupiter George EP is set to arrive via Kompakt later this month, on March 23). In addition, Kiasmos is set to embark on a North American tour throughout May and June, the complete dates for which can be found on the flier below.
