Detroit techno producer Robert Hood (a.k.a Floorplan) has announced the release of a new collaborative album featuring his daughter Lyric. Titled Victorious, the forthcoming full-length is the follow up to 2013’s Paradise LP, that also landed via Hood’s own M-Plant imprint.

The upcoming project sees Hood returning his focus to house, disco, funk and gospel. Hood’s frequent Floorplan alias, which first appeared in the scene in the 90s, will henceforth feature Lyric as part of the newly rebranded duo. On where the Victorious title comes from, “We live in a world filled with adversity, they key to surviving and even thriving in this era of uncertainty is knowing how to walk in victory. The truth is we are more than conquerors. We are VICTORIOUS,” as stated in a press release.

Victorious will be available on triple vinyl, CD and digital formats. Hear a track preview on the player, below.
