Hailing from London, DJ-producer Sean Moriguchi has released a provoking mix that incorporates some of the latest tracks in tech-house while creating an underlying theme explaining the roots from which techno and house began.

To start things off, Moriguchi jumps into a Detroit techno sound by introducing the mix with interview clips from Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, who explain the genre’s mechanical and technological origins in the city that birthed it. A little later, the mix then introduces a Chicago house vibe with tracks such as Bicep’s “Just,” and using spoken word samples from house legends Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy.

The mix, which was released and promoted by the premiere Australian music label Future Classic, can be streamed in full below. Be sure to check out more from Sean Moriguchi by visiting his SoundCloud page here.
