Hamburg-based DJ/producer Tensnake was just recently the subject of an XLR8R Audiofile, and is now taking the esteemed position of mixmaster for the latest installment of Defected Records‘ In the House mix series. Appropriately titled Tensnake In the House, the release is two discs of 28 party-starting tunes perfectly mixed for optimum dancefloor usability. Tracks from the likes of DJ Sprinkles, Mount Kimbie, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas, James Black, Mugwump, Tensnake himself, and many others are all within the compilation”s lengthy tracklist. Defected says that Tensnake’s forthcoming release “[combines] the current vogue for cosmic disco and lo-fi funk-tinged jams [and fuses] electronic sounds with old-school melodies and laidback vibes.” Sounds good to us.
