Addison Groove‘s debut LP, Transistor Rhythm, just dropped via 50 Weapons, and the Bristol producer has shared a video for that album’s “Bad Things,” which features guest work from Spank Rock. The clip, directed by German duo Pit Bredimus and Marcus Wolfschmidt, features a dark look into Addison Groove’s minimal, footwork-influenced sound. In a way, the video parallels the genre’s transition from a lo-fi, Chicago-based movement to an international sensation of increasingly slick, hi-fi productions. While, say, DJ Nate’s tracks were accompanied by grainy cell phone footage, Addison Groove gets a masked dancer in a properly-lit studio in HD.
