After sending over his track “Die Pferden” from the recently released Offseason Traveler LP, Berlin-based producer and world explorer Aera has sent out another cut from the album in the form of a music video portraying the annual Cumbia dance contest in Ayacucho. The rich sounds of “Cambio” make for a perfect accompaniment to the video directed by Navina Khatib, whose recent feature-film debut, Casa Luz, is a documentary focused on the small Peruvian town’s culture and rising political situation. Clips from the documentary make up the video for “Cambio,” the sounds of which were partly inspired by Aera’s time spent living and traveling in South America, particularly Ayacucho.
