Watch a New Ableton Video
At last year's Loop summit, Henrik Schwarz and Bugge Wesseltoft discussed how technology empowers collaboration and improvisation.
The next instalment in Ableton’s video series from last year’s Loop event comes from Henrik Schwarz and Bugge Wesseltoft, speaking on the power of collaboration.
Hailing from Bodensee in Southern Germany, Henrik Schwarz is a deep house producer who has been involved in labels such as Innervisions, Moodmusic, Ostgut Ton, and Mule Musiq. Bugge Wesseltoft is a Norwegian jazz musician, who has collaborated with Schwarz on a number of experimental jazz-leaning releases.
At last October’s Ableton Loop, the musicians both sat down for a chat on the subject of collaboration and improvisation via technology—a discussion that was punctuated by several of their own improvisations. It follows a recent publication of a lecture by Holly Herndon on production.
