Between news of a forthcoming debut album and preceding single, Huxley has been a recurring face on XLR8R‘s pages recently. I Want You, the first single from the UK house stalwart’s Blurred LP is set to drop on October 6, and in anticipation of its arrival, a remix from fellow Aus affiliate Youandewan has been made available to stream. His rework of “I Want You” is billed as “a blissed-out exercise in smooth musical transitions and subtle dubbing techniques,” making for a delicate deep-house cut.

Out next week via Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label, Daedelus‘ upcoming The Light Brigade LP is now streaming in its entirety. As we reported in August, the 11-track album is intended as a successor to the veteran beatmaker’s 2009 Righteous Fists of Harmony EP, which was inspired by the Boxer Rebellion and recalls the Crimean war of 1853-56.

Set to arrive on September 30, The Light Brigade is currently streaming in full via The Faderhere; Daedelus’ edition of Ask the Experts is also slated to land next week.

Berlin-based expat and Deepblak label head Aybee has shared a preview of his forthcoming The Sway of the Tree EP, set to land in November. The three-track effort will eventually see its release via Japanese label Sound of Speed—which has previously released efforts from Cottam, Damon Bell, and Vakula, among others—and appears to find the formerly Oakland-based producer/DJ continuing to explore the more subdued and spacey ends of deep, percussive house.

While no exact release date has been shared for the record, Aybee’s The Sway of the Tree EP is expected to land in November. In the meantime, the three-track effort can be previewed below.

Announced earlier this month, the Bicep pair will release a new four-track EP in October. Ahead of the record’s release, “super fuzzy, Italo-inspired thumper” EP cut “Poly Pineapple” is now streaming in full. Set to appear as the second effort on the a-side of Bicep’s forthcoming Lyk Lyk EP, the driving “Poly Pineapple” is said to be the result of “a single live take,” with the pair further explaining, “Unfortunately, we lost the project file and ended up having to master the demo.”

Bicep’s latest production can be streamed in full below before Lyk Lyk lands on October 6 via the outfit’s own Feel My Bicep label.

Jacques Renault is preparing to deliver the first full EP of his career via the Let’s Play House label. The forthcoming effort, Out of Sync, reportedly marks a significant moment for the longstanding New York house DJ/producer, in that it features not just one, but four original tracks. Due out on vinyl on October 27 (with digital to follow two weeks later), the EP comes ahead of a more ambitious full-length album effort from Renault, anticipated for release in 2015 (more details to come). Until then, clips of all four Out of Sync cuts have been made available to stream below.

Launched earlier this year, Hyperdub has announced the details of the upcoming fourth and final installment in its 10th anniversary compilation series. The double-disc Hyperdub 10.4 collection is said to see the series returning to the club with a focus on house, garage, and techno. Of the material included on the 28-track comp is an unreleased (and untitled) track from Burial which is described as having a “relatively direct 2-step feel.” In addition, productions from Hyperdub staples such as Cooly G, Ikonika, DVA, Laurel Halo, and—of course—label head Kode9 make the tracklist, as well as remixes from Dorian Concept, John Roberts, and Bambounou.

Blawan and Pariah have revealed plans to deliver a new 12″ as Karenn next month, which marks their first official release under the moniker in almost two years. As Resident Advisor reports, the three-track EP is set to arrive in mid-October via the pair’s own Works the Long Nights label, and will showcase the same style of hardware-heavy techno that the UK artists have become known for, both with their individual DJ sets as well as their collaborative live performances. Karenn will also launch a 14-date tour to coincide with the release, starting off on October 3 in Leipzig before logging appearances in Berlin, Rome, Glasgow, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, and Venice, eventually winding things up in November with dates in Bucharest, Madrid, and St John’s in London. Leading experimental outpost Planet Mu will deliver a new EP from Mr. Mitch later this fall. The London-based producer has staked a place in the instrumental grime scene with releases on his own Gobstopper label, and as co-founder of the Boxed club night alongside Slackk, Logos, and Oil Gang. His forthcoming four-track Don’t Leave EP precedes the arrival of his debut album, Parallel Memories, and is due out on November 3 in 12″ and digital formats. Both the EP’s artwork and tracklist can be found below, and a recent XLR8R podcast from Planet Mu founder Mu-Ziq (featuring a clutch of Mr. Mitch tracks) is available to stream and download here.
