Last year saw Hessle Audio co-founder Pangaea launch Hadal, a solo label endeavor which was inaugurated by the excellent two-track Viaduct EP in June of 2013. Still serving as the label’s only release since it dropped, Pangaea will soon add a second effort to the imprint’s catalog. The forthcoming Hadal 2 EP appears to find Pangaea continuing to seek out new variant hybrids of club music across its four tracks, with a-side cuts “Pob” and “Mackerel” fashioned around sturdy dancefloor thumps while the following “Ivy” and “Solvent” appear to follow more unconventional paths.

Revealed earlier today with little fanfare via Pangaea’s Twitter, Hadal 2 is expected to see a full release before the end of May. In the meantime, lengthy previews for all four EP tracks can be heard below.

Prolific London producer and recent XLR8Rpodcast contributor Visionist will add to his fast-growing discography with a new single for Diskotopia next month. Returning to the label which he debuted on with 2011’s Rock the Flock EP, Visionist’s forthcoming “Can’t Forget” single is said to “offer a cold contrast” to the imminent summer months ahead, with only sparse percussion breaking through its icy textures. Backed with a remix from Werkdiscs affiliate Moiré, Visionist’s upcoming single can be previewed below before it sees a full release on June 15.

As part of the Red Bull Music Academy‘s festival taking place in New York throughout the month of May, over the weekend RBMA threw a block party in honor of Larry Levan on King Street—the Manhattan roadway for which a petition is currently circulating to have it co-named “Larry Levan Way.” Setting up shop outside the building which once housed Levan’s resident club, The Paradise Garage, longstanding Levan cohorts François K, David DePino, and Joey Llanos threw down five hours worth of music in honor of the pioneering DJ and producer.

Now, the entire set from RBMA’s Larry Levan Street Party can be streamed in full. Presenting a sumptuous mix of classic house, disco, and soul, the five-hour recording is heavy on good vibes with the occasional guest appearance, namely from Levan collaborator Jocelyn Brown who lends a live vocal to her classic “I’m Caught Up (In a One Night Love Affair)” cut. After a very successful first run in 2013, Amsterdam’s Dekmantel crew is set to present the second edition of its annual three-day festival this summer. As part of the August event, XLR8R will be hosting the festival’s UFO stage, for which the full line-up of performers has now been revealed. Among those set to perform on the UFO stage are Levon Vincent (pictured above), Boddika, Jimmy Edgar, Shackleton, Juju & Jordash, and Joey Anderson. In addition, Blawan is set to double up on the stage Friday night, first performing alongside Pariah as Karenn and later in collaboration with Surgeon as Trade. On the Sunday of the festival, the stage will bring together a number of renowned DJs for a series of B2B sessions with Marcel Dettman and Luke Slater, Ben Klock and Ryan Elliot, Steffi and Answer Code Request, and Marcel Fengler and Efdemin all taking to the decks for special collaborative sets.

After releasing his Shrubby EP via Aus earlier this year, secretive UK producer Gerry Read will return to the Fourth Wave label with a new two-track 12″ later this month. The 21-year-old producer’s next effort for his regular label home appears set to find him continuing to explore the more blurry ends of groove-led house with the a-side of the forthcoming effort, “Socialize,” described as a production where “heartfelt vocals and lush pads are bought together in a dreamy groove.” On the flip, Read is said to indulge in some boogie-house vibes, with “Charcoal” focusing on “moody chords and an utterly unyielding bassline.”

Read’s eighth release for RAMP’s Fourth Wave imprint is set to land on May 26; before then, it’s artwork and tracklist have been included below.

After releasing with 50Weapons, Still Music, and Musique Large already this year, veteran French producer Laurent Garnier—who recently chatted with us for the first edition of our 20 Questions feature—has detailed a new 12″, set to drop via Motor City Drum Ensemble’s MCDE label next month. The “Psyche-Delia” b/w “Whistle For Frankie” 12″ is said to follow in Garnier’s eclectic spirit, with the a-side cut “inspired by [Garnier’s] deep love for Ethiopian jazz” and sounding like “a modern take on Mulatu Astatke,” while the flipside is said to take shape as a “very detailed production [with] hypnotic sounds that just draw you in from the start”—and, considering its title, is likely meant as a nod to late Chicago house DJ Frankie Knuckles.

Garnier’s upcoming 12″ for MCDE is set to drop on June 15. In the meantime, its artwork and tracklist have been included below.

After delivering the first EP in his Correlation series via Clone‘s Royal Oak imprint in September of last year, Irish producer Space Dimension Controller has announced plans to return to the label next month with the second edition in the EP series. Simply titled Correlation #2, the three-track effort is said to present “no frills, spacey house music as only Space Dimension Controller does it.” Fortunately, the label has sent along a preview of all three EP efforts to give us a better idea of exactly what SDC is up to this time around. The Correlation #2 EP can be previewed below before it sees an official release on June 2.
