For all of the accolades that have been thrown its way over the years, the Red Bull Music Academy has rarely been recognized as a source of high comedy. However, following today’s announcement that RBMA has launched Eternal Bliss™, a web portal billed as “the world’s first guided meditation that puts you in charge,” it’s possible that perceptions of the Academy might need to be altered. Although the cheeky site does include all sorts of relaxing imagery—it’s been divided into various “zones,” including the Refresh Your Chakra Zone, the Rainforest Trance Zone, and the Quantum Harvest Zone, to name a few—and is absolute rife with vague new age mantras, it’s worth noting that Eternal Bliss™ does come with a pretty stellar soundtrack; RBMA affiliates and former participants like James Pants, Nightwave, Anenon, Suzanne Kraft, and Lucrecia Dalt are just a few of the artists who have contributed tunes. A playlist with the complete Eternal Bliss™ soundtrack has been posted below, but the full experience undoubtedly requires a visit to the website.

Eccentric Los Angeles producer Secret Circuit will release Cosmic Vibrations, the second and final installment in a series which has collected the artist’s diverse early works, originally released as cassette-only affairs. Set to appear via the Emotional Response label (who released the first collection of the series in 2012), the 12-track album is said to find Secret Circuit traversing into less dancefloor-oriented material than was presented on last year’s Tactile Galactics LP for Beats in Space. Instead, Cosmic Vibrations offers a glimpse into “a melting pot of psychedelia, techno, Balearic, and ambient to create an electronic gem, but all done with a wry smile… rather than today’s penchant for moody seriousness.”

Coming off the release of his excellent Music for the Uninvitedmini-LP, Leon Vynehall has revealed plans to release the third effort from his partnership with A1 Bassline, who together operate as Laszlo Dancehall. Picked as one of our favorite new artists of 2013, the outfit will issue its LZD III EP via George FitzGerald’s Man Make Music imprint next month. The pair’s upcoming three-track effort is said to present much of the same type of “thoroughbred house music” the group’s previous records offered with two new Laszlo Dancehall productions set to appear alongside a remix from label head George FitzGerald.

Laszlo Dancehall’s third EP will drop on May 12. In the meantime, LZD III‘s artwork and tracklist can be found below.

Classicworks label bosses Cardopusher (pictured above) and Nehuen have opted to work together on a second entry for their label’s split EP series, sharing a stream of the upcoming record’s fiendish opening tune. The acid-touched “Hyperwave” is aggressive from the onset, building its repertoire of noise with hard-hitting cymbals and demonic vocal bits as it progresses. Though this only gives a taste of what is to come on the forthcoming release, “Hyperwave” leaves us expecting high levels of unnerving intensity to be featured on the pair’s follow-up to its Split 01 EP.

The devastating news of DJ Rashad‘s untimely passing continues to shake the electronic music world today, with a wide range of producers, DJs, and fans continuing to show their support for the juke and footwork pioneer. Now, word has come through that the Bolier Room crew will be airing a special tribute to the fallen Chicago producer tomorrow. The show will actually kick off Oneman’s new Boiler Room residency; as such, he’s curated a special line-up that will also feature sets from Kode9, Ikonika, and Addison Groove.

“A friend and hero of ours passed away on Sunday,” Boiler Room states on its website, before revealing that “four collaborators and close friends [of Rashad] will come together for a three-hour session to pay tribute.” The session is slated to air tomorrow from 6 to 9 p.m. GMT. In the meantime, the digital flier for the event in DJ Rashad’s honor has been included below.

Following his recent contribution to our 20 Questions feature series, pioneering Detroit producer/DJ Robert Hood has shared details of a new remix 12″ from his Floorplan alias, including a new take on “Never Grow Old,” a tune we deemed one of 2013’s best tracks. Planned as part of the continuing celebration for the 20th anniversary of Hood’s M-Plant label, the release will find the veteran talent revisiting “Never Grow Old” along with a new take on Floorplan’s more recent “Phobia” production.

Floorplan’s Re-Plant Mixes 12″ will drop in both vinyl and digital form on May 26 via M-Plant, coinciding with Hood’s upcoming May tour dates, two of which will find him performing live under the alias. The upcoming record’s artwork and tracklist are included below along with Hood’s upcoming dates.

Having already streamed the lead single from his Phantom Vibrate EP, Jacques Greene has shared another cut from his new record, celebrating its release today via LuckyMe. Spanning over five minutes, “Feel What” lands in familiar territory, with its skittering beat drenched in soul-burnt chords, subtle synth melodies, and light touches of washed-out vocals. Part of the producer’s new three-track effort which aims to explore “themes of human interaction with technology,” Greene’s latest production can be heard in full below.

The hour-long effort for FACT‘s ongoing mix series alternates between pounding techno workouts, upbeat funk and soul, smooth hip-hop, and just about everything else in between. In the course of the set, the producer reveals his broad-reaching tastes and his full-fledged capabilities as a DJ, maintaining a dynamic vibe that keeps its momentum throughout.
