Baltimore-based duo Matmos has announced plans to embark on a tour across Europe in support of last year’s incomparableThe Marriage of True Minds LP. The tour kicks off on May 3 in Heidelberg, intersects with Martin Schmidt’s and Drew Daniel’s performance at Sónar Festival in Barcelona on June 12, and goes on to wrap up up in Lille, France on June 16. Matmos is slated to perform with noise artist Jeff Carey on several dates throughout the tour. The pair’s full list of 13 performances scheduled in Europe this spring can be found below. Before the celebratory 10th anniversary compilation from online music retailer Bleep arrives on May 5—complete with all brand-new music from the likes of Lone, Gas, Oneohtrix Point Never, Modeselektor, Autechre, Dabrye, Nosaj Thing, and others—one its exclusive tracks has now surfaced online from noise-wrangling UK duo Fuck Buttons. “Brainfreeze (Alt Mix)” is a fresh version of the opening track from last year’s solid Slow Focus LP, one which eschews the original’s gnarled guitar tones and thumping 4/4 beat for jumpy drum breaks and a bed of glimmering, contorting synths of all kinds. The entirety of Fuck Buttons’ contribution to Bleep:10 can be heard in the player below.

Kicking off in San Francisco tomorrow night, Brazillian techno minimalist Gui Boratto‘s tours of North America and Europe will span the rest of March and continue until late April. The string of live performances will find the enduring DJ/producer—whose only original solo release since 2011’s III LP was the “Too Late” b/w “We Can Go” 12″ from last year—making stops in New York, Chicago, Montreal, Lisbon, Tel Aviv, Dublin, London, Madrid, Amsterdam, and beyond, before finishing up on April 20 in Paris. Boratto’s upcoming tour is said to precede his next single for Kompakt, which will arrive sometime this summer. Before then, his full list of scheduled performances can be found below.

After launching its first large-scale festival last year (our review of which can be read here), the UK’s Eastern Electrics event has announced plans for its upcoming 2014 edition. Scaling the festival back to one jam-packed day, Eastern Electrics has only revealed a handful of names from its star-studded bill, the most notable of which include house veteran Kerri Chandler (pictured above), Toronto pair Art Department, rising anonymous talent Route 94, and BPitch Control founder Ellen Allien.

Taking place in Hertfordshire’s Hatfield House this August, Eastern Electrics 2014 is set to display roughly 40 electronic talents across seven stages for its single day of festivities. With the event still a handful of months away, its currently known details can be found on the flier below.

Comfort, the debut LP by superstar house DJ/producer Maya Jane Coles, is only a few months away from being a year old, but nonetheless, a brand-new music video for the album’s title track has just appeared online from director Jonas Lord. The extravagant piece offers oddly disturbing and unexpectedly beautiful visuals for the London artist’s slow-bubbling house track, as we watch its central female character go through some kind of metamorphosis, like a snake shedding its skin. Lord’s video is evocative to say the least, and offers a vibrant counterpart to the subtleties of “Comfort.”

The deluxe version of Maya Jane Coles’ Comfort LP is set to drop via her own I/AM/ME label on March 24, roughly a month before her installment in Fabric’s mix album series arrives. But before either of those records appear, the video for “Comfort” can be seen below. (via Dazed)

It has been over six years since industrious German DJ/producer Danilo Plessow (a.k.a. Motor City Drum Ensemble) inaugurated his own MCDE label with the first Raw Cuts 12″, featuring two gritty and soulful house tracks made with old-school samplers and drum machines. He went on to follow that record with two more editions in the series over the years, but is now ready to wrap up the Raw Cuts lineage with a handful of remixes from some of biggest names in house and techno. Raw Cuts Remixes is a three-track 12″ on the way via Plessow’s label, and will offer productions from Detroit icon Mike Huckaby, fellow Motor City veteran and 3 Chairs member Marcellus Pittman, and New Zealand-based Rush Hour staple Recloose, whose version of “Raw Cuts #5” has been floating around since the middle of last year. Before the highly anticipated record drops on May 7, previews of all three of its cuts can be streamed in the player below.
