Rhode Island-reared production talent The Range has announced he will follow last year’s impressive debut LP Nonfiction with a new six-track effort in March. The forthcoming Panasonic EP will find The Range returning to the Donky Pitch label, with the producer combining “dense orchestration, breakbeats, and a fresh approach to sampling… [while remaining] true to The Range’s love of R&B, hip-hop, and drum & bass, channeled in a way that he has made his own.”

The Panasonic EP is set to arrive on March 25. In the meantime, a stream of the James Blake-sampling “Slow Build” single can be heard below, where the upcoming record’s full tracklist is also included. Furthermore, The Range has a slew of upcoming international tour dates in the works, the complete list of which we’ve included below as well.

Well, it’s just a Daniel Avery kind of Friday, isn’t it? Shortly after we caught wind of the London acid specialist getting his “Drone Logic” single remixed by Matthew Dear’s techno-centric Audion moniker today, we’ve also discovered a new remix that Avery did for his three fellow Brits in Factory Floor (pictured above). The trio’s motorik and decidedly lean tune from last year’s outstanding Factory Floor LP has been flipped entirely on its head, with the breakout DJ/producer and Rinse FM regular delivering one of his lushest productions on “How You Say (Daniel Avery Remix).” Below, the track can be streamed in full before its release on April 14 via DFA; Factory Floor’s upcoming North American tour dates can be found underneath the SoundCloud player.

Dark Entries, a San Francisco-based label that has been steadily gaining momentum with its prodigious stream of industrial, EBM, techno, post-punk, and no wave reissues and releases over the past few years—including the widely lauded 2013 collection School Daze, which compiled tracks from gay electronic pioneer Patrick Cowley—will soon be issuing the proper full-length debut from Colombian-born, Brussels-based producer Cute Heels (a.k.a. Victor Lenis). The eight-track album is entitled Spiritual, and will see the light of day on April 1. Lenis has been making and releasing music for several years, but most of his output has only been available digitally. Spiritual will be available on vinyl, and Dark Entries describes the album as “inspired by equal parts Liaisons Dangereuses and Drexciya,” a claim that’s certainly backed up by the raw, electro-techno pulse of first single “SV Forest.” A stream of the track has been posted below, along with the LP’s complete tracklist.

XLR8R handed out a lot of accolades during December’s Best of 2013 frenzy, one of which went to German DJ/producer Helena Hauff, who was tabbed as one of the year’s Best New Artists. A longtime resident at the much-loved Golden Pudel club in Hamburg, and someone who has previously released music with PAN and Werkdiscs, Hauff will soon be issuing two new EPs, one solo and the other a collaborative effort. As Resident Advisor reports, both records will be coming via the Panzerkreuz imprint, which is a sub-label of the long-running Bunker Records. The first is a six-track solo EP called Return to Disorder, which is slated for March. The complete tracklist is below, along with a stream of lead cut “Spirals of Smoke Drifting from Soot Stained Chimneys.” Hauff’s second EP is another outing as Black Sites, her project with fellow Golden Pudel resident F#X. Few specifics have been given, though the record is said be a collaboration with a Hague-based artist known as Ghetto Gems, and is purported to contain “acid house ghetto tech jam retardedness vs. heavy-pounding and brain-crushing acidic darkcore techno insanity.”

Though the track itself appeared as a stream this past fall to tease Julio Bashmore’s as-yet-undetailed debut album, the Jessie Ware-featuring “Peppermint” single has reappeared today as a strange and impeccably crafted music video. The piece was directed by Noah Harris, who spoke with Thump about his work, saying, “It’s about evolution… It starts with a piece of graphic design, rigidly animated to the track, and this then evolves into three dimensions; the amoeba becoming a sentient graphic form, a constant process of evolution around the same visual themes.”

Though we currently have no information about Julio Bashmore’s forthcoming LP, we do know that “Peppermint (feat. Jessie Ware)” will drop on February 23 via the DJ/producer’s own Broadwalk label. The track’s new video can be seen below.

Last month, rising UK producer Daniel Avery delivered a remix of “Sky,” a cut from Audion X, a retrospective compilation of Matthew Dear‘s Audion project. Now, it appears that Dear (pictured above, as Audion) has returned the favor by tackling Avery’s “Need Electric.” A stream of his new remix surfaced today on Dummy, who also note that the rework is taken from an upcoming Daniel Avery release, once again for the Phantasy Sound label. The record will also include a Factory Floor remix of “Drone Logic” and UK producer Matt Walsh putting his stamp on “Free Floating.” The 12″ release drops on March 24 and will be headed up by the original “Drone Logic” from Avery’s 2013 LP. As for Dear, he’s about to debut a new Audion A/V show, with a performance slated for tomorrow in Los Angeles and another scheduled as part of San Francisco’s Noise Pop festival next week.

Bristolian 808 virtuoso Addison Groove (a.k.a Tony Williams) has given us the premiere of his new video for “Abandon,” a collaborative cut with vocalist Josefina which comes from his forthcoming sophomore LP Addison Groove presents James Grieve (out on February 28 via 50Weapons). The cryptic piece intermittently switches between full and split screen shots of foggy and obscured close-ups, aptly accented by Addison Groove’s rippling xylophone melodies and surging basslines. By only showing quick glimpses of Josefina’s face and effervescing water, the video for “Abandon” effectively communicates the song’s urge to “just take a step out of your limited life, and open your eyes.”
