Last month, the L.I.E.S. label took over NTS Radio for a three-hour session full of unreleased tunes, a live jam with Steve Summers and Svengalisghost, and DJ sets from label owner Ron Morelli and LA up-and-comer Delroy Edwards. Now, NTS has posted the entire 180-minute, non-stop takeover to its website. The whole thing can be streamed and downloaded for absolutely free, here. And if three hours of L.I.E.S. action just isn’t enough, the interview with label head Ron Morelli which surfaced this week—and even offered up a link to a sketchy Russin website hosting downloads for a good portion of the imprint’s catalog—may just just do the trick.

Longstanding Montreal producer Ghislain Poirier is an artist who has proven himself keen to and adept at jumping between genres and styles with each of his many efforts for labels like Ninja Tune and Chocolate Industries. His latest creation, a self-titled LP under new alias Boundary, continues in that lineage. As FACT reported when they premiered the stream of Boundary earlier today, Poirier’s aim with the record was to “offer up IDM as it was initially designed.” From the sound of the 13-track album, that means delivering productions from across a wide range of electronic subsections whilst shedding the hyperspeed chops and glitches normally associated with the IDM tag. Boundary is out now and can be streamed in full below. A one-off Boundary track called “Free Violence,” which appeared on XLR8R well before the record’s release, can be downloaded for free, here.

After announcing details of his first single “Beam Me Up” under the Close production moniker, UK artist and owner of the Aus and Simple labels Will Saul has finally released the details of his upcoming debut LP, Getting Closer. The 10-track album features several collaborations—most notably from producers October, Appleblim, and Scuba—as well as Charlene Soraia contributing vocals on two tracks. Saul said of the guest work, “Writing music with someone can be a very intimate and rewarding process, or it can be really hard work and emotionally draining, or none of the above—either way, you learn about yourself and the other person involved.” On June 3, !K7 will release Getting Closer, but before then, the tracklist and artwork can be found below.

The third phase of artists announced to play Detroit’s Movement festival this year has hit the internet today, bringing with it a slew of international DJs and producers scheduled to hit the Motor City late this May. Among the names on the list are the likes of Squarepusher, Cajmere, Benjamin Damage, Moby (pictured above), Dabrye, Magda, Deadbeat, Shigeto, xxxy, Nina Kraviz, Samo Sound Boy, François K, Jason Kendig, XLR8R advice columnist Nick Hook, and plenty of others. The entire swath of artists announced to play Movement between May 25 and 27 can be perused here, and tickets for the events can be purchased at a discounted pre-sale price until May 1, here.

It seems that after infamously getting kicked off stage at South Beach last December, Bay Area native Josh Davis (a.k.a. DJ Shadow) has utilized the show’s notoriety to launch more US dates by extending the cheekily titled All Basses Covered tour. With notable appearances scheduled for Low End Theory in San Francisco and Brooklyn’s new Output venue, the 2013 tour aims to “be hosted by venues who value the communal experience of music and high-quality sound over exclusivity and bottle service.” In a press release, Davis stated this leg of the All Basses Covered tour would differ from last year’s juke, footwork, dubstep, and rap focused sets by incorporating unreleased productions and live remixes with the help of drum pads and digital DJ software. As we reported back in February, Maceo Plex has been tapped to deliver the first DJ-Kicks mix of 2013 later this month. Staying with the tradition of the long-running !K7 series, the multifaceted DJ/producer has included a brand-new original production within his mix, a track which can now be streamed in full. As the producer himself explains, “Galactic Cinema” is a bit of departure for the man of many monikers. “I’m kind of known for a couple of big disco records and some really deep bassline house tracks,” says Maceo Plex in the press release. He goes on to add, “This track is much darker, but still pretty sexy and soulful. The whole thing is dark and futuristic.” “Galactic Cinema” will see a proper release when Maceo Plex’s DJ-Kicks contribution drops on April 29, but before then, its rolling low end and dense atmospheres can be heard via the player below.

The enigmatic and controversial producer known only as Zomby has posted a new track online which is purportedly part of the follow up to 2011’s Nothing EP. “W I T H L O V E” hit the internet almost as quietly as the bass-music firebrand’s most recent modeling turn, and raises just about as many questions. The clip was posted along with a link to a new website which currently only hosts the new song. As Pitchfork reports, “W I T H L O V E” is part of an album slated for a summer release via 4AD. The club night co-curated by James Blake, 1-800-Dinosaur has announced its new venture as a record label, which will be head up by former R&S label manager Dan Foat and launched with a two-track 12″ from Blake himself. In an interview with Juno Plus, Foat says of the future of his new project, “There is no specific plan to be honest. The initial focus is to release forward-thinking music based around the people already involved with the label or our friends.” On his departure from R&S, the ex-label manager says, “Last year I felt like I had taken R&S as far as I could, and my priorities and attention had always been with James [Blake] as his manager, so 1-800-Dinosaur is a logical progression and an exciting challenge. Most of the key artists I signed to R&S have since left, so it’s a good time to explore new opportunities.” Blake’s upcoming record will feature a dub version of “Voyeur,” a cut from his forthcomingOvergrown LP, as well as the completely new track “And Holy Ghost.” Before the 12″ drops in the middle of this month, a video for the original version of “Voyeur” can be viewed in the player below.
