Shortly after his recent selections for our High Five series, Bristol-based dubstep icon Pinch has announced that he will be collaborating with UK funky stalwart Roska (pictured above) on a new 12″. Arriving next month via Pinch’s own Tectonic label, the record features the collaborative a-side “Shoulda Rolla”—which continues with the atmospheric dubstep sounds heard on the pair’s joint 2011 effort, “Paranormal Activity”—and b-side “Asbestos,” a percussion-heavy production which finds Roska taking sole command of the board. Both tracks are available to stream below before they drop on April 15.

One of London’s many low end adventurerers, Bass Clef has just delivered a mix for the ongoing series from hometown party Wifey, showing himself to be both a multi-faceted producer and an adimarble force behind the decks. The so-called Grime Fairy Tales mix is said to be a set which covers Bass Clef’s favorite grime-related riddims using only a stack of vinyl and a drum machine to get the job done. In anticipation of the upcoming Pleasure Principle festival—a joint effort between Glasgow’s Numbers crew and the folks behind the UK’s Dedbeat Weekender—Hudson Mohawke has shared his refix of Janet Jackson’s “Pleasure Principle,” a production which previously appeared only as a limited vinyl release. The neon-flecked reimagination of Jackson’s late-’80s hit can be streamed via the player below and downloaded for the price of an email, here. And for those who don’t yet know, the Pleasure Principle weekend festival will take place in the city of Cornwall starting on April 26; more information can be found here.

Club night-turned-record label Dekmantel has revealed the details of its inaugural music festival, a two-day event scheduled for later this year in its hometown of Amsterdam. The lineup announced so far includes Ben Klock (pictured above), Ben UFO, Dixon, Four Tet (performing live), Jeff Mills, John Talabot, Joy Orbison, Laurent Garnier, Legowelt (also performing live), Midland, Optimo, Pangaea, Pearson Sound, Scuba, and Surgeon, among many others. Presented in part by Red Bull Music Academy, FACT, Resident Advisor, and Boiler Room, Dekmantel’s festivities will go down between August 23 and 24.
